Features
Laptop computer, PDA, or other device with
a wireless network interface card and a charged battery. There are a limited
number of electrical outlets available.
Information sent to or from your wireless device can be captured by anyone else with a wireless device and the appropriate software.
Unfortunately, library staff is unable to provide any support with your wireless connection.
While in the library, you can print your work wirelessly. Items can be picked up in the “blue room” (the copy/print room) on any floor. There is a minimal fee for printing. You will be presented with instructions on how to set up a printer. Instructions for wireless printing will appear after you connect successfully.
Firewall protection and Internet security can interfere with wireless printing. Please disable all Internet protection products (including firewall settings) before you use the printing applet.
Uninstall the printer from your laptop then reinstall the printer.
You likely will not need to change your computer’s settings to connect; simply launch your web browser. Log-in with your library card number - without the “a” and “b” - and PIN (which is WYLD until you change it - which we strongly recommend you do). If you cannot connect immediately, use the following troubleshooting tips.
Mainstream support for the Windows 2000 client software has ended.
