Genealogy & Special Collections
The Special Collections Room houses Wyoming & Western History.

Housed in the north end of the third floor of the Library County Library in Cheyenne, it is open to the public any time the library is open. Volunteers and/or staff members are often available to provide assistance.

If you are making a special trip to the Special Collections Room, we strongly encourage you to call first (307-634-3561) to check on the availablity of staff or volunteer assistance.

The genealogical materials housed at the library are a joint collection of the Laramie County Library System and the Family History Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Over the years, material have been added to the collection through the efforts of these libraries, the Wyoming State Library, the Cheyenne Genealogical Society, the Wyoming Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and individual contributors.
