The Special Collections Room houses Wyoming & Western History.
Housed in the north end of the third floor of the Library County Library
in Cheyenne, it is open to the public any time the library is open. Volunteers
and/or staff members are often available to provide assistance.
If you are making a special trip to the Special Collections Room, we
strongly encourage you to call first (307-634-3561) to check on the availablity
of staff or volunteer assistance.
The genealogical materials housed at the library are a joint collection
of the Laramie County Library System and the Family History Center of
the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Over the years, material have been added to the collection through the
efforts of these libraries, the
Wyoming
State Library, the
Cheyenne
Genealogical Society, the Wyoming Chapter of the Daughters of the
American Revolution and individual contributors.
