Genealogy Interlibrary Loans
Wyoming residents may borrow Special Collections materials via interlibrary
loan through their local county or community college library. There is
no fee for in-state interlibrary loans.
Genealogical books and microfiche are loaned for three (3) weeks with
no renewal, and must be used in the borrowing library.
The physical condition and amount of local use may prevent the loan of
some materials but arrangements for obtaining information contained in
the material are usually possible.
Out-of-state residents may also borrow materials via interlibrary loan
through their local library. Fees for out-of-state loans are $18 per volume
and must be paid in advance. Materials are loaned for in-library use only
for a three-week period and renewals are not allowed.
Requests to borrow genealogical materials from other libraries may be
placed in the Special Collections Room, housing Wyoming & Western
History, using forms available at the volunteer desk.
Fees may apply. For more information, contact Elaine Hayes, Special Collections
Librarian, at (307) 773-7232 or e-mail
