Endowment
The Laramie County Library Foundation’s State Endowment Challenge Program Fund allows us to build the resources necessary to maintain quality literary, educational and cultural programs in the Laramie County Library in Cheyenne, 2 other branches and the bookmobile.
The Endowment Challenge provides a 2:1 match for each dollar raised in our library, up to $118,075. Donations must be made by June 30, 2013 to be eligible.
Donating to the Endowment Challenge Program Fund
Endowment dollars do not replace the community’s traditional tax-based support. Endowment dollars support programs that the community is unable to finance, but which would be of considerable value to library patrons. It is through private gifts that services are enriched.
The Endowment Challenge provides a 2:1 match on all dollars donated to this fund. It is a long-term investment fund. Your gift will be placed in the fund and each year the interest will be used exclusively for the benefit of your library. The principal will never be used, thereby guaranteeing the perpetuity of the fund. A perpetual contribution to knowledge—that’s a powerful contribution.
A gift to the Laramie County Library Foundation’s State Endowment Challenge Program Fund is a true community gift. As the fund grows, so will the library’s ability to serve future generations. It assures that the Laramie County Library System will remain the vital cornerstone of the community.
Donations made to the Laramie County Library Foundation are used for the exclusive benefit of the library. Please contact Gilda Lara, director, at 307-773-7221 or foundation@lclsonline.org for more detailed information.
