Donors
In the last five years, the Laramie County Library has been the recipient of significant state and national awards – for the building, the staff and especially the programs and services offered to our patrons. Without the generosity of the library donors and their hundreds of thousands of dollars in gifts, it would not have been possible for the library to receive this kind of recognition.
The Foundation has been responsible for:
- Successfully completing the first stage of the State Endowment Challemge by raising $225,403, for which we receive a 2:1 match from the State of Wyoming.
- Developing campaigns to assist in generating funds that provide enhanced library services beyond the basic services funded by the public tax dollar including the Summer Reading Celebration Program that, in 2012, reached an all time high of over 6,000 registrants, Every Child Ready to Read Program, Wyoming Reads, and the Discover Earth – A Century of Change Exhibition.
