Ongoing Objectives and Programs
The Foundation is always looking for creative ways to capture the public's imagination and give them profound reasons for donating to the variety of services, programs and other vital needs of the library, when the tax dollars can't fund all of the public's needs and requests

Donate a Book or Video . . .

Materials donated to the library are sorted by volunteers and evaluated by staff to see if they will enhance the current library collections or can replace a worn or old copy of an item the library already owns.

Unique or possibly rare or valuable items are set aside for evaluation by a specialist in antiquarian books who recommends what should go into a silent auction to raise additional funds for the library.

Any items that are worn, torn, water-damaged, mildewed or in generally bad condition due to age or wear and tear are discarded.

Items that are not sold in the silent auction, discarded or added to library collections are sold at the semi-annual Laramie County Library Foundation/System book sales, which include the silent auction, and are held in the spring and fall.
