Library Will Hold Public Meeting Regarding New Laramie County Library Facility

Cheyenne, Wyo. - Now that the new library building has been approved by the voters, the Laramie County Library System will hold another public meeting to discuss the project.

Open to the entire community, the meeting will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, in the Laramie County Library’s Exhibition Gallery. The library is located at 2800 Central Ave. in Cheyenne.

Members of the building project’s team will facilitate the meeting, including architects Andy Nielsen and Ken Tobin, as well as Anders Dahlgren, the library building expert.

The evening will primarily consist of gleaning input about what the community would like to see in the new library facility.

“We’re excited to be at this stage,” Troy Rumpf, the library’s public relations specialist said. “Everything is in place, including the location, so we welcome the community to offer some great suggestions for the future.”

LCLS has held numerous public meetings, focus groups, and workshops throughout the past several years to discuss various aspects of this building project. More public forums are expected throughout the duration of the project.

Those who cannot attend the meeting are welcome to share their comments by e-mailing building@larm.lib.wy.us, calling 635-1032, ext. 121, filling out a comment form at any LCLS location, or completing an online form at www.LCLSonline.org/building/suggestions.html.
