Library Schedules New Public Meeting Regarding Laramie County Library

CHEYENNE - Although the weather may not have cooperated with the public meeting earlier this month, the Laramie County Library System will hold a second meeting to discuss what services and amenities should be available in the facility.

The meeting, free and open to the public, will take place at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 11, in the Laramie County Library's Exhibition Gallery. The library is located at 2800 Central Ave. in Cheyenne.

A similar meeting was scheduled for the end of February, but weather issues forced a postponement until the beginning of March, when approximately 10 people attended the session.

LCLS held a number of public meetings and workshops throughout the past several months to discuss various aspects of this building project. In addition to this meeting, the library will hold several focus groups with various community members during the upcoming weeks.

Members of the building project's architectural team will moderate the meeting, including Andy Nielsen and Tom Hootman of Anderson Mason Dale. The evening will primarily consist of a brainstorming session where members of the community can share their thoughts on what they would like to see in a new Laramie County Library facility.

Following a meeting earlier this year, the library board announced a preferred site for the library on the two-block area between Pioneer and O'Neil avenues between 22nd and 23rd streets.

Those who cannot attend the meeting are welcome to share their comments by e-mailing building@larm.lib.wy.us, calling 635-1032, ext. 121, filling out a comment form at any LCLS location, or completing an online form at www.LCLSonline.org/building/suggestions.html.
