Library Holds Another Public Meeting Regarding New Laramie County Library

CHEYENNE - Now that a site has been selected for a new Laramie County Library building, the Laramie County Library System will hold a public meeting to discuss what services and amenities should be available in the facility.

The meeting, free and open to the public, will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28, in the Laramie County Library's Exhibition Gallery. The library is located at 2800 Central Ave. in Cheyenne.

LCLS held a number of public meetings and workshops throughout the past several months to discuss various aspects of this building project. In addition to this meeting, the library will hold several focus groups with various community members during the upcoming weeks.

Anders Dahlgren of Library Planning Associates, Inc., the library building consultant on this project, will lead the meeting.

The evening will primarily consist of a brainstorming session where members of the community can share their thoughts on what they would like to see in a new Laramie County Library facility.

Following an announcement by the LCLS Board of Directors earlier this month, the library hopes to locate a new facility on an area west of Pioneer Ave. between 22nd and 23rd Streets.

Those who cannot attend the meeting are welcome to share their comments by e-mailing building@larm.lib.wy.us, calling 635-1032, ext. 121, filling out a comment form at any LCLS location, or completing an online form at www.LCLSonline.org/building/suggestions.html.

For more information, call the library at 635-1032, ext. 121.
