Library Board Selects Architechural Team for Central Building Project

CHEYENNE - Following a meeting on Dec. 18, 2002, the Laramie County Library System Board of Directors announced that Anderson Mason Dale Architects and Tobin & Associates, P.C. have been invited to serve as the architectural team responsible for the design and construction of the new or improved Laramie County Library building.

"This was an incredibly challenging decision, considering the number of well-qualified firms that applied," Sharyn Guthridge, chair of the LCLS Board of Directors, said.

The other two finalists for the position were Noel Griffith, Jr. & Associates/Howard R. Green Company and TDSi: The Design Studio, inc./Humphries Poli Architects, P.C.

In November, the board received seven replies to a request for qualifications. After the board and the Facilties Advisory Committee reviewed these, three teams were chosen for a short list. These finalists each submitted a response to a request for proposal, and the board interviewed the firms last week. After a lengthy deliberation process, the board announced its decision today.

Pending successful negotiations, the board hopes to have a contract signed with Anderson Mason Dale Architects and Tobin & Associates, P.C. by the end of December. Working with this team, the board tentatively intends to receive a site priority report before the end of January 2002.
