Here’s some of the latest information on the library’s building project. The State of Wyoming now owns the library building, and LCLS owns the state parking lot on the southwest corner of Pioneer Avenue and 23rd Street (and now also owns almost all of the land for the site).
Next, the library will have additional geo-technical work done to make sure that the foundation of the new building will be appropriate for carrying the building’s weight. By August, the design development phase will be complete.
This is the phase where spaces are confirmed and we move into more detailed building development (e.g. where shelves and computers will go), evaluate building security, electrical and data placement, etc. The next step will then be the preparation of construction documents.
